Dog Tags & The Law

Control of Dog Order 1992 - Every dog while in a highway or in a place of public resort, shall wear a collar with the name and address of the owner inscribed on the collar or on a plate or badge attached thereto. You can be fined up to £5,000 if your dog does not wear an identification disc.

A maximum of 4 lines per side can be engraved with 12-16 characters (including spaces) per line, as indicated below
